Livigno offers two primary takeoff locations:
Mottolino (West-facing) – Located on the eastern shoulder of the Livigno Valley.
Carosello (East-facing) – Situated on the western slopes of the valley.
For cable car information during winter, please refer to the official website: Livigno Lifts.
Access in winter: Via the Mottolino cable car.
Access in summer: By car from Eira.
The takeoff is located west, just outside the cable car station, overlooking Livigno Valley.
📍 Orientation: West-facing, making it ideal for sunset flights.
Orientation: East-facing
Location: Near the arrival of the "Blesaccia" chairlift
Due to its relative altitude and east-facing orientation, this is considered the most promising takeoff in the Livigno area, although its full potential remains largely unexplored.
Access
When the cable car is open: Take the Carosello 3000 cable car, followed by a 20-minute walk.
Otherwise: A 2 to 2.5-hour hike from the valley floor.
